We’re democratizing access to investments and making it possible for anyone to own a piece of culture.
Otis was born out of a passion for art and culture, as well as a belief that it’s possible to find meaning in every facet of life — including investing.
Out of that passion and belief — plus a ton of research — came another conclusion: that investing in cultural objects like art and collectibles can be a financially savvy part of a diversified investment portfolio. The problem? Only the very wealthy could afford these assets. Until now.
Enter Otis, where we’re making the investment opportunities previously reserved for the few accessible to the many — all while supporting artists and creators, building a museum-worthy collection, and making that collection free to view in spaces around the world.
Otis was started by Michael Karnjanaprakorn, who previously founded Skillshare and was an early employee at Behance. He has spent his career democratizing access within education, jobs, and now investing.
We are a remote-friendly team, partially based in New York City and partially distributed across the United States. Our team has worked at Kickstarter, Artsy, Gemini, Moma, Hauser & Wirth, Temasek, Gabelli Funds, Robinhood, and Nike.
We’re redefining an industry and creating a new asset class around culture. Join our team if you value transparency, speed, and ownership.
