Fantastic Four #52, published in 1966, is a Silver Age grail and a key edition in Stan Lee's Fantastic Four series franchise. The issue features the first appearance of Marvel’s first Black superhero, Black Panther, whose eponymous movie is now the #5 top grossing superhero movie at the box office.
Due to its introduction of Black Panther, this comic is considered one of the foundational pieces of Stan Lee’s legendary reign over the Marvel universe. Lee, whose death in 2018 marked the loss of one of fiction's greatest forces, brought readers into the fictional landscape of Wakanda and changed the world of pop culture.
