About

Throughout his high school, college, and NBA career, Kevin Durant wore number 35 in honor of his late AAU basketball coach. When Durant signed with the Brooklyn Nets, he told reporters he chose to wear number 7 because it symbolizes completion in the Bible, hinting that he wishes to finish his NBA career in Brooklyn.

 

While still a member of the Golden State Warriors, Durant suffered an Achilles injury that forced him to miss the entire 2019-20 season. After signing with the Brooklyn Nets, Durant made his debut with the franchise on December 22, 2020, against his former team. Durant filled up the stat sheet while shooting 7 of 16 from the field, scoring 22 points and adding five rebounds, three assists, and a blocked shot in less than 25 minutes of action.

In 24 minutes of play, Durant put up 22 points, 3 assists, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals to help lead the Nets to a 125-99 victory.
